Now....That Things Seem to Have Settled Down a Bit...

...AND since we've been snowed, iced and sleeted in for the past 2 days, I've had time to go thru alot of Christmas pics 2023!!  But, I have to begin with this...

When I saw this quote, all I could think of is my daughter in laws.  As much grief as I give them for their very early anticipation of the Christmas season, it IS one of the reasons why my grandchildren have such a wonderful, magical Xmas every dingle dangle year.  And it's not just about gifts...it's also the very special experiences they plan and participate in together all throughout the season.

Now, I have to also give you a lil peep into how even "I" got into the magic this year a little earlier!

And I really wanted this memory documented for our family diary.

The ornament that I bought for our very first Christmas tree some 46 yrs ago.  Thru the times of it being on our tree every single year, there were some parts broken.  So, my boyfriend found a lil plastic box to encase it in ... so it will forever be safe on our tree!

The silver friendship ball ornament that my girlfriend and I have been exchanging every year for at least 20 yrs!  We always sneak it into each other's house with a little surprise inside of it...but man, oh man...has there ever been a mad dash to remember if I have it this yr or does she? I've gone days looking to make sure it's not at my house this yr!!! And somehow, every year either she or I find it hidden in our tree!  So fun!!

Of the thousands of pics stored on my computer, I have very few of my daughter in laws by themselves...know why???  Because the most important things in their lives are their families!!!

And this makes this ol' YaYa very happy because I know how much they love my sons and grandchildren.

WHAT a wonderful mom this birthday girl is!!!  The love in her heart for her husband and two sons just spills out all over all of us....what more could a mother in law ask for??!!!!

No matter the season or the occasion...this family of four is always together!!
