HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHAD!

 Today marks my oldest son's 45th birthday..............wait!  That can't be possible.  It was only a blink of the eye that was that glorious day!  Oh my....everything that you've always heard is true.  Life is fragile and fun and speeds past us in the blink of one single eye.....and we've been lucky enough to have shared his life for 45 yrs!

He works hard as an engineer for his family everyday.  But he also works hard as a baseball, football and basketball and soccer dad for his family!  And spends all of his time when he's not doing those things just playing with them!

Our son and their brother....who we know will always be there for us.  For all of us!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON...YOU COMPLETE MY LIFE!!

National Sons Day!,

 Who knew?  Not until one of my friends texted me today that I better mention my boys today because they now have their very own day!!!  Yet, to me.....every day is MY sons’ day!!!

Lazy Summer ...Then School Starts and So Does the Activity!

 Cap'n worked hard all summer in his garden and I reaped the rewards...along with friends and family!  We had boatloads of beautiful tomatoes and peppers and squash and cucumbers and zipper peas and corn and eggplant and potatoes and WHEW!...you get my drift.  Most of all our summer meals came from our ground..

Every day I ate tomatoes in sandwiches and just sliced with meals. And banana peppers!

When I wasn't combing thru recipes looking for new ways to cook all this food, I did a lot of this!

We also had some new friends spend their days with us.  Twins!!!  We have so enjoyed watching them come into the back yard most every afternoon and morning!  They are growing up here! 

Between baseball, soccer, gymnastics, riding lessons...having one and almost one more teenager who really like to hang out with their friends...there's always time for this!!

Summer around here just flew by and everyone was very busy!

And before we knew it, it was time for a new school year...

By Labor Day, it was time to hunt again.  Dove season and LSU football started back up so we had another fun weekend at deer camp with everyone!

And once again, all the big kids and little kids are gathered round Cap'n's cooking!

One proud grandfather here.....the sport he has loved all of his life and passed down to his sons who have now passed down to their children!!!
