How Can She Be 10 Yrs Old?????

KATIEJANE!!!!  How can it be??  You're 10 today (2 digits!)  and I cannot be happier for you....other than the fact that prolly makes you NOT our baby anymore!!  And just look at what a beauty she is!!!

I do NOT remember 10 being so cute!!

But just look at this pic of she and I at the same ages!!! 

Since my boys were all clones of their dad.....this just makes me sing with joy to think that just one of my offspring might look a lil bit like me!!!!  Even if it's just at age 4!!

Oh KJ....you make us so happy with your sweetness...your love of family and your passions!

she works so hard at her gymnastics classes...so hard that she is winning so many awards at her local and statewide competitions!!!

She's becoming a hunter with her grandfather and her dad...which makes both of them very happy!

And she loves her best friend and cousin Josey!

As well as her big sister and her YaYa!!

we make granola together...

and visit the pumpkin patch together..

and HAD to check out what a waffle and dog place was all about!

But most of all, she loves her family!!!!

Oh Wow! I'm a very bad blogger..oops!!!

 What can I say?  mah bad!!!

So let's go back to early spring, shall we??  It began here very early this yr.  The azaleas were on fire and the purple clematis began their show as well.

This sweet palm was a gift from a friend when my mom passed away...27 yrs ago next month!

It was a tiny plant back then and I have nursed it every yr since!

Soon after all this beauty appeared, we got a freeze that was way too sad for all of us.  Plants and peeps included!!

But we didn't let any ol' freeze take us down!

Nothing says spring like LSU baseball on TV and crawfish!!

We also had a Mama's birthday lunch on a weekday....one of the perks of being home schooled, says ms. katiejane!!

Next on the agenda was a trip to Dallas to shop for a dress for our middle schooler's first dance!!

(so fun...I'm a lucky YaYa!)

and a visit to Austin's birthday party! 

and a night spent at hotel with all of them...and dinner at Gloria's!

A night out with daughter in laws and a friend to the John Crist Comedy show with a lovely dinner together before the show.  SO MUCH FUN!!!

Then it was time for our annual family crawfish boil!!!

We all look forward to this weekend because it's always so hard to get all together in the spring because of all the sports teams and school events....so we always MAKE this happen!  The weather was perfect and there a lot of playing outside and lots of laughing!!

Next up was an annual trip for a week to Destin with girfriends....always a fun adventure!

And sadly missed Easter with the grandbabies...

And now, I'm enjoying a month long beach stay which is making me happy every dingle dangle day!

Cap'n brought my car and my PoppyPearl to me and will be heading back shortly.

Time alone and some more girlfriend time....sigh....heaven!

I'm sure my next posts will contain lots of sun, sand and smiles!!
