We've had some grief in our lives for the past few weeks. My daughter in law lost her father on Thursday. But when I walked to the deck late yesterday afternoon and saw the sun rays shining thru the spanish moss ....I knew he was right here still shining his love upon us. Telling us it's ok...that he is at peace and will always watch over us and keep us safe and happy!
Such a COOL man he was. Kind and happy and loving, oh so loving, a wonderful friend and man, oh man.....did he love his daughters!!! Loved them so much, that when they wrote that his heart just couldn't hold it all.. and when he released it that one last time.....he went to live with God! What an honor!
On the morning of his heart starting to run down,.unbeknown to him.. he came to our house to "pick the garden"....something he'd been telling rachel he wanted to do! So, he showed up early last Thursday morning and he and Cap'n picked all the fresh veggies he wanted. Then loaded them up into the back of his car all nice and pretty. He was so proud!
I just bet that now he is eating the veggies he picked mixed in with some mexican food every single day if he wants to!!!
His service will be be on Friday, which is his 70th birthday!
How cool that he gets to begin his life all over again!
We'll miss you Rex and we'll take care of your babygirl but we know you will always be right beside us.
And give that lil SophieJane and Emmy Lou some great big ol' hugs for us!!!
**I have so much catching up to do on blog....beach trip and 2 weeks playing with grandbabies and my grandson Case's 8th birthday...and it will come ... but first things first.
We will quietly celebrate FOURTH OF JULY!!!!! today and remember how much fun Rex and Patty used to have when they came to celebrate with us for many years!!!
