A Little SNOW and a Lotta Crawfish!!

 So....I never got the post done about all the snow we had a month ago....and it was incredible!! I have to say that I've NEVER seen that much snow here where we live in all my many many years.  When we do get a dusting, it's usually gone by the next day.  This stuff stayed around for 4 or 5 days and I've gotta say...we were ready for it to go! (never thought I'd ever say that)  Plus the fact that the whole world around here shuts down when we have a storm like that and it took forever for the stores to be restocked and roads to open back up.  I took so many pics but only posting a few here to make sure it's recorded for our diary!

Needless to say, the grandchildren loved everything about it but because all the roads and bridges were closed, I didn't get to actually see them playing in it.

It was a crazy February.....that's for sure.  But not as crazy as Feb of 2020!

And speaking of the crazyness of it all.....the last time we were all together as a family for a whole weekend was the weekend of lockdown in 2020.  So for us to finally be able to gather round each other again in Feb 2021 was nothing short of pure bliss!!!!  Almost all of us have been vaccinated so we felt better about it.  But to see those cousins be able to play and have 2 sleepovers and play and play some more was just almost too good to be true!!!

One thing they all looked forward to were Cap'n's breakfasts!!!

and we've been talkin' bout THIS for a whole year!!!!

First we had snow and then we began our spring with a whole lotta crawfish!!!!

SPRING HAS SPRUNG IN OUR PART OF THE WORLD AND THE SMILES ARE CONTAGIOUS!!

AMY....IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY.....MARCH 8!!

 I'm a day late getting her birthday blog posted....sigh***..story of my life lately.  I rushed to get off the phone with the internet guys...Big Yuk!....yesterday to go to her house to stay with her girls while she did fun birthday stuff!!!  What's worse?  I've gone thru all my pics for the last yr to find the perfect one of just her for her special day and do you know I do not have ONE of her...GASP!!!!  Seems that since we were unable to hardly see family all last yr, when I did....those daughter in laws would NOT let me take their pics.  That is going to have to change now.  Seriously!!

So, the ones I do have are ones with her family.  Her sweet, sweet family.  Which is the very most important thing in her life so it only seems fitting that we celebrate her with them!!

A milestone in her life this past year was moving into their new home only a few weeks after lockdown began.  She is a very successful realtor and she not only sold their old home, secured the purchase of their new home AND did all the grunt work of cleaning and updating both homes as well as the actual moving in very scary times!!!  We are so proud of her!

Happy birthday, dear daughter-in-law....daughter-in-love!  We want you to know that we are so thankful for the love you give to our son and grandchildren.  It has been amazing to see our son blossom into a husband and our grandchildren grow. You have made our family bigger and better, and there is nothing more important to us in this world.
