SO.......after 7 months of staying at home, not seeing my friends or being able to hug my grandbabies....I had to go. Go Away! My annual gal pal trip was soon approaching and in my head, I knew I'd have to cancel. But as time drew near, my heart was telling me differently. I NEEDED to go. And then, in typical fashion, Hurricane Sally decided for me what I'd do. The gulf coast, where we go every year, took a big hit. BIG HIT. But this yr we were going to Destin, which is prolly 30 miles east of our usual spot and the hurricane just brushed it there. Instead of flying, like our spoiled butts are used to, the decision was made to drive because I just could not do the whole airport and flying thing. Still too sceered for that. A 9 hr drive, I may add........that just seemed to fly by because I WAS OUTA THE HOUSE, OUTA TOWN AND ON MY WAY TO THE BEACH!!!!! WITH MY GIRLFRIENDS!!!
THIS is where you find your soul. Where you talk to it and it talks back to you.
Where you dig deep and take yourself to inner peace.
Where you put the problems of the world aside and relish in the earth, the water in all its simplicity.
Where I can re-center.

Mix in some good girlfriends....
Some peach belini's...
and some good food....
Add in a brand new beach house that my friend is the owner of named 5032.....
Need I say more???? I'll be travelin' home tomorrow refreshed and ready to get back into quarantine mode!!!
MEANWHILE......back home, sweet PoppyPearl has been in boot camp!
with her dad!!!!
She's learned how to ride ALL DAY LONG in the truck while he works.
She's learned how to "kennel".
And she's learned how to "load up" in the truck, or 4 wheeler....
and is learning all about a hunting day with the boys!!!
Back to the real world tomorrow but with a whole new attitude!!!
