KATIEJANE IS 6!!!!

Last Friday, April 26, was ms. katiejane's 6th birthday!!  I was honored to be able to spend some time with her on such an important day!

She wanted to have lunch where the big chair is!!

Her mom and I and ms katiejane always have good laughs when we're together!

Then, off we were to have mani/pedi's!!!

the vibrating chair made her giggle and giggle.....and everyone in the salon thought she was just the happiest and cutest lil girl ever!.....(duh...)  Of course, she was!!!

She had a whole weekend of celebrating with her families!!  And was treated like the princess she is!

The "Busyness" of Grands!

So, as the grands get older.....they just get busier!  Each of them is so different from each other and each of them is finding interest in many different things.  Which is just as it should be!
In early March, we had a family weekend at the deer camp for a crawfish boil!

we only had four this weekend because the other two were doing THIS on their spring break!

Then it was time for another spring break....

Mexico with family and dolphins!!

Meanwhile, I was with these two during their break!

Extra curricula activities????  oh yeah!!

The World Goes Round and Time Goes By....

Wasn't it just Christmas???????  Man, oh man....my days just seem to go by before I feel like I'm good and awake!

Between having my bedroom and bathroom painted and made 'purty'.....after 33 yrs. since we built it...

And going to Dallas to love on that set of grandchillins...  My days have been full.

All the grandkids have activities going on ... T-ball, Soccer, Art and Theatre competitions ... and I feel like I've been missing alot of those.  But the bed just got put back into my room and spring is here, a-choo, with the family beach trip coming up in less than a month!

Going to make a "kids only pic" post next but until then......a few snippets of my new room!!!

it was a peach/salmon/coral color that I just loved when we built the house. (ewwww) Now, it's a smooth, creamy gray with darker gray trim..carpet going in as I type this..

a church pew that we found at a church sale over 30 yrs ago that has been pretty beaten up over the yrs.  The guys painted it to match the wall color to put at the end of my bed.  Going to have a sweet gray and white buffalo check cushion on it!!

the headboard that our guy made for me.....I saw a pic of one like this and he made it exactly like the picture!  I love it!!!!

Will post pics of the room when it's all finished.....I'm very excited!!!
