It's already been a pretty busy summer around here. As I just wrote, we spent a week at the beach, and as you all know, it takes a lot of prep to make sure everyone has everything they need while there. Then 3 days after getting back, my daughter in law had surgery and guess who came to my house during all of that??
They are busy little girls and YaYa was on her toes thinking of fun things to do!
One night, some of my friends came over for a "fashion show" of sorts. Her son is getting married this summer and she was trying to decide what to wear. These two little girls were the judges! And the little one put on 4 different dresses to model with my friend. So funny!
Also, I've had a pretty bad flare up of back pain and knew it was going to be tough to get thru the next few weeks so my doctor made a house call for an injection....YES, I said house call!!! But he's also a very good friend so he really came to have a glass of wine. But the girls could not believe that YaYa was getting a shot in her sunroom. Again....funny!
We went the day after surgery to visit their mom and they asked so many questions about that hospital room...more funny!
When she broke out, um, was discharged, from hospital, we took her to our deer camp to recuperate. It's a pretty cool place to recover. Cap'n even brought a recliner outside for her to sit or sleep in while admiring the views.
She is doing great and when I got back to our lake house, I did a bit of the same!!!
I sat here forever watching the boats go by and watching and waiting for my baby blue birds to take their first flight out of their home. Yes, that's a purple martin box but our blue birds love it and continue to nest in it
The most exciting news tho has been the recovery of our swimming pool. I mentioned before that the months of march AND april consisted of flooding waters that broke 50 yr records. We have been here 20 years and have never witnessed what we saw this time. It was probably 3 ft above our pool.
Which you know what that means....
the pool was somewhere under there...
Once the water receded, the pool had black water in it...and no telling what else. Because of all the rain we had after the flooding, we had to wait to clean it. I have no pics of that because I could not bring myself to take a picture of it.
My boyfriend had been working SO hard, along with the pool guys, to get it cleaned up. I love the pool everso and he had been doing everything in his power to get it back to beautiful for me.
(I love him everso too!!)
AND HE DID IT!!!!!
Look how it looks today!!!
And I am READY to spend some quality time there!!!
