What makes a galpal trip even better??  Why.....seeing a rainbow at the end of a fun day, of course!!

AND witnessing a very awesome sunset!!

A lil Fall beach time ~ ~ Girlfriend Style!!

Same week as last year!  Same "penthouse" condo as last year!  Same BFF's as last year!!

Let the the laughter, the eatin' & drinkin', the layin' on the beach for 8 hrs at a time reading books and the chill time begin!!

Cannot wait to be sitting here!!!

5 whole days of bliss.....hoping to do some catch up posts on the blog.  Until then......I'll be in the sand and surf with the sun shining on my soul!!!

Ahhhhhhhh.....Fall! Let the Games Begin........

The deer camp has been aflutter these past few weeks!!  Boys, boys, boys everywhere up there doing their "boy stuff"......stuff like scouting for doves and teal, getting up at the crack of dawn to hunt them, eating (alot of that) sleeping, telling tall, tall tales and well, you know....boy stuff!

The Cap'n/Cook/and Head Honcho of the gang after a day of hunting!

(he loves the hunting weekends as much as all those boys do!)

(and I have doves and teal in my freezer ready to be bacon wrapped and grilled...mmm!)

SO.....

while the guys are doing their thing, I've been hanging out around the house and getting ready for cooler weather.  Doin' a bit of nesting...how we do when the seasons change!!

So back several months ago, the boyfriend and I were walking around a lil antique town close to us and we came across a super neat shop that was filled with MAN stuff.  You know the kind......lots of thngs made from iron and metal and cars and trucks.  Said boyfriend found a cool rear end of a truck that had been made into a wall hanging, complete with working tail lights and all.  We walked away.  But he was still thinking about it so about 9 months later, we went back and it was still there. After lots of wheeling and dealing, it came home with us and was taken straight to the deer camp. Cuz you know that's where ALL the LSU games are watched after a day of hunting and where ALL the good food is prepared and eaten!!  He hung it all by himself and hooked the lights up ...... and well, IT'S JUST ABOUT THE COOLEST THING EVER!!!
      
      And when the tailgate folds down, there is a cushion on the back of it for sitting against.  And will make a perfect serving place for the foods eaten while watching LSU, while they hopefully, beat all the other SEC teams this season,
   4. He hung it on the porch under the TV where all game watching is done!
   5. May I just add that the day he went to pick it up was on June 25, our anniversary,  and the man said the year of the truck is a 1977.......which is the year we got married!!!  Was just meant to be!!!
   6. I guess our tailgating will take on a whole new meaning when our Tigers do their thing!
   7. I'm not at the deer camp today tho when LSU  takes on Mississippi State...I'm at home enjoying the peace and quiet of MY porch with fall like temps today!!

IT'S BAAAAAAACK!!!!!! Oh Sweet Blue Bell!!!

The drought of 2015 is over!!!   WOOOOOHOOOOOO....Amen and Allejuiah!!

Do you see the butterflies flitting around our Cap'n's ice cream??  He's so happy, he's seeing butterflies!!!

You see?  This man is um,....kinda addicted....ok......really addicted to his Blue Bell ice cream and when they went out of production 4 months ago, we all thought we were going to have to take him to the Betty.  Cuz he was having some withdrawals.  He tried every single other kind of ice cream on the shelves....which were few....and was not happy. Sure, he'd still have that BIG ol' bowl at night but he just wasn't happy. (never gains a lb and blood pressure so low that its almost unreadable)

So, when his "other" sons showed up at the deer camp this afternoon with many gallons of the sweet nectar of God, he was happy.  Verah Verah Happy!

( blue bell is back on shelves in Houston and both of these guys came from there and brought it to him. so sweet)

I have a feeling we would have been on a road trip next week if they hadn't!!!

All is right in the world again.....*sigh*.......

I've mentioned here before that I receive a daily inspirational thought from TUT - A Note from the Universe everyday.  Sometimes they are way off from what I need for that day but other days, they are spot on!!  Today was one of those days where it was perfecto!

Read it slowly....read it everyday...it will give you incentive to be footloose and fancy free!!!

Start it;  you don't have to be fancy.

Keep moving; you don't have to go crazy.

Visualize;  you don't have to admit it.

See the end result;  it doesn't have to be material.

Expect miracles;  they don't have to be huge.
