The Winding Down Days of Summer...

HaHaHaHa!!!  Oh, how lovely that would be!!!  But seriously......as the days of August are being counted down and meandering toward Fall....I reflect on lazy, hazy days of summer and make this 2014 one a memory... Appreciate all the beauty and all of the fun I was able to turn into cherished memories!

Watching many different breeds of mushrooms grow on a stump in our side yard.......they actually grossed me out a bit.  Have you ever really looked at the anatomy of a mushroom?? Yuk.

But I just couldn't stop watching them!!

Spending a few days in a fancy, schmancy hotel in a cool town with a fun friend enjoying the shops, the food, the drinks and the friendship...

Then you throw in weekends with my grandbabies and my children, lazy weekends spent hanging by the pool with mah boyfriend and taking afternoon naps......

Summer Rule #3:  Margaritas count as your daily serving of fruit!!

Summer has been a whirlwind and has seemed to go by so quickly.  We've had a few parties and some weekend guests and its seemed that I was either planning, shopping or cooking food for all.  So, the last 2 weeks, I have done nothing!!!  And it's been so relaxing.  Those back pains have diminished and the dark circles under the eyes are starting to fade a bit.  I like to call these days the easy, breezy, hazy days of summer....you know...the lazy ones!  Therefore, I haven't had too much to post about.....but stay tuned....girlfriend trip planned and I'm sure there will be lotsa craziness to write about in the next few weeks!

Summertime Fun Times!

Having your very best friend bring her whole family waaay down south to play for a week!!

We took them out to the deer camp where the whole family participated in a little 4-wheeler riding!

And since ms. clisa is from the PNW where it rains alot...and she always takes the rain with her, wherever she goes....she brought it here!  We had 2 full days of clouds and monsoon rains which kinda got in the way of our pool days.    ALMOST!!!

All my kids came over for a barbeque on Satuday and the babies all fell in love with ms.taylor!

Case and KatieJane were so funny together...they're only 2 months apart and a hoot to watch together

At this point, this lil SophieJane was completely fed up with friends, family and especially babies...she went and hid under the ferns in my flowerbed!! Hahahaha

Such a fun day....everyone just relaxed and telling stories!

It was such a fun week...we are so lucky to have friends who traveled all the way across the country to spend time with us!!
