Birthday Bugs for Ms. KatieJane!!

Last Saturday was the Princess and the Frog birthday party for friends and family.  Since her daddy cooked about a hundred pounds of crawfish bugs for the adults, her mom went with the bayou themed decorations in The Princess and the Frog..........and it was totally adorable!!

But first, her day started out just chillin.....

Laid back with her big girl milk and a balloon, waiting on a taste of her very first egg!

When katiejane went down for her morning nap, some of the rest of us took off on 4-wheeler rides.

It was a gorgeous day and when we came to this yellow field of flowers, I gasped with delight!

made me wanna start singing Sting's Field of Gold!

when we got back to the house, I found this lil grandson sound asleep in the bean bag! (gettin' rested up for the big par-tay!)

and time to start cooking the crawfish. YUM!

and um....taste 'em too!

I think his mom found one in that front pocket of his overalls too!!!!  

and then there's Dixie, who will eat any and everything!

Nature at its Finest!

Easter Tails!!!.......and Tales!

HAHAHA!!! Yep, we had the cutest tails ever!  We told them over and over that it was still too chilly to swim but Cap'n finally said....if you wanna get in, just take your clothes off! He didn't really mean ALL of their clothes but before we knew it, they were both in the water!! We laughed almost as much as they were while having a ball!!  Even KatieJane wanted in on the action!

Next on the agenda?  Why, the first egg hunt, of course!

until somebody got bored with the whole "egg" thing!

We stopped the kid fun for a d-e-l-c-i-o-u-s crawfish boil....YUM!

Then, when mr. case arrived, we took off for a boat ride...

Next??  Dying the Easter eggs!

I do have some awesome azaleas blooming right now so in between the fun stuff, I did manage to get all of them at some point to pose for me!

Very early Easter morn, it was time for the REAL egg hunt!

and right before it was time for Austin to leave to go visit his NeNe and Big Daddy, he turned to Cap'n and said I Love You Cap'n!!!!  Melted my heart big time!!! (and his!)

A Glorious Weekend...............for our Lord to Rise Up for Us!  He has given me a beautiful family!
