Every year the fat man....er, Santa, asks for lists from good lil boys and girls in our family. Depending on how good they think they've been...usually will be the deciding factor on how long the list is!! HaHaHaHa....j/k!! So, on the list of my first daughter in law was .... a YaYa day! That means a fun shopping, lunching, spa, drinkin....kinda day! One or all of the forementioned! So, once Santa relayed that info to me there was only one thing to do. Yep.....get in my car, drive the 3 or so hours to her house and make it happen..........not to mention that my grandson happens to live there too and I could have some quality time with him before all the hoopla of Christmas!
The night I got there we went to have dinner at a japanese restaurant where Austin truly enjoyed the antics of the grill master!!
the sweet family!
The next day, after a bunch of snugglin' and playin', we took mr. man to school while mama and I went to play! Of course, one of the highlights was LUNCH!! hahaha.... And what a wonderful day it was...she has no idea that it was prolly a better gift for me than even for her! And a super way to start off the holidays!!
This year it was 2 of my son's turns to go to their wive's families for Christmas eve so we celebrated our family celebration on the weekend before the big day. They began arriving around noon and the fun began. Ms. Lilli and Mr. Austin were adorable playing together but as you can imagine, ms. you know who was the boss!! (this year....next yr may be different!)
Aunt Hailey made reindeer cookies that were so cute and were eaten with joy!
Just as it was beginning to get dark, we decided to do our family gift exchange....and you talk about fun!
Sweetcheeks got some Barbies!
AND the dreamhouse that she told Santa she wanted!!
and mama was beaming all the while!!
two big girls found moonshine flasks under the tree for their late night antics!
big (little) boys talking about their new helicopters that they flew way late into the night!
EVERBODY opening presents!!
even Bromley enjoying the Good Times!
This mama thinks she may have the best present of all!
After the craziness died down and the babies were fed and put to bed, the big kids sat down to a great meal. Good Food. Good Wine. Laughter. Stories. More Laughter. Isn't that what it's all about??!!!
stay tuned for the hilarity of Christmas morn with an 11 month old......!!
