what babies REALLY think!

So....my new grandson is almost 4 weeks old and he is already telling us a few things! he's REAL smart like that........heheheheh........quit rolling your eyes. Yes. I have more 'unbiased' thoughts about MY grandchildren!! It's very obvious in this pic that he is quite perturbed because he hasn't had his YaYa there to hold him and love on him and smell his neck!But in this one, mom must have JUST told him that soon....very soon.....his YaYa would be there to play with him!!Cannot wait for the photo shoot of this lil munchkin and my other lil munchkin!!!
In a few more weeks, Austin will come "home" to all us grandmom's houses and the two will get to meet for the first time!! Lilli can't wait!! (me either!!)

The View from my Window!

It's a beautiful Sunday morning here at our lakehouse!! Crisp, clear and full of sunshine! As my boyfriend and I sat here enjoying the beauty of it....we do enjoy just looking out the windows at the water, the trees and the spanish moss.....he pointed out a a happy view! The trees are still brown from winter doldrum but look at the bright spot he showed me...Amidst all the gray and brown and winter........a super red fishing boat motored by with the quiet swish of poles being held and lines being thrown into the water, with a muffled laugh, every now and then, being heard by the sweet lady who was with them!! I'm glad he made me get up out of my comfy chair to go get the shot.....made me happy! And shhhhhhhh.....don't tell ol' man winter but look what's going on out by my pool......

Fishing Bliss for my Boys!

Yep. They are having a good time down in Me-hi-co with their dad on Blew Bayou! and something tells me they may be having a REALLY good time....moms just know this stuff! They've been doing alot of chillin' and fishin' and hangin' and eatin'. Yesterday, they caught 4 sailfish, 3 wahoo, 2 blackfin tuna and 4 bonita!! Yep...........happy as clams!

After they catch these fish, they take them to the local restaurant and have them cooked for them......not even doing their own cooking........me thinks they've ALL turned into beach bums!

(which, I may add, ain't such a bad thing!!) they are all flying home tomorrow, where the cap'n puts those boys back to work and after he takes care of a few things, flies back out on Wednesday. Crazy Cap'n!!

Sailing past Cancun!!

Mama don't like the Bug...

...but the flu bug don't care!!! YUK. YUK. YUK. Amazing how quickly one can go from energetic and upbeat to weak and downtrodden. It got me so fast but man, oh man......I am trying to get back. Been in bed for 3 whole days with no desire to even read. My eyeballs even hurt! Will get back to blogland soon.............when my fingers will work on the keyboard!!!

...while the rain comes down here on this Saturday morn...actually I'm kinda glad....gives me a reason to edit all the pictures I've been putting off.....I thought I'd give you a glimpse of what's going on down in Me-hi-co!! After Austin's birth, the cap'n headed back down to blue waters and the day after Valentine's Day, my middle son and babyson flew down to meet him for a deep sea fishing adventure. And as always, I'm sure there are adventures going on left and right with the three of them together!!! Yesterday, they caught sailfish, mauhi-mauhi and some other ones that I can't remember the names of......yes, those boys are in heaven!! Here's some beauty for you from Isla Mujeres!!

Update to blog to book post!

I've been getting mail all night about where I have my blog made into a book......so here are the deets! http://blog2print.sharedbook.com/blogworld/printmyblog/index.html And it is SOOO easy to do. Simply tell them the dates of posts you want included in your book. I always do mine from Jan 1 - Dec 31 of each yr. That way, the kids have a play by play index of what our family was up to on a daily/weekly basis. It is really good quality and the images are clear. Only takes about 5 min to upload a whole yrs worth of posts.....I think mine ended up being 165 pages this yr. Last yr I ranted a bit more...it was 180 pages....heh! So, here's a pic of the previous yrs books (I MUST quit using camera phone and get back to my real camera.,...this is horrible shot. It's Time to Publish!

Yep....its that time of yr again to send last yrs. blob off to the printer to be made into a book!!

It's funny because a few weeks ago, my daughter in law sat down and looked at the previous yr's book and ooohed and ahhhhed and laughed at all the family antics. So much so that now she's begun her own blog!! So see? the kids really do like having all the memories in a compact book to reflect on and keep as a keepsake!! The 2011 cover!

It should be completed and back into my possession in about a week! Another one for the record books!!!

The Birthday Boy!!

It may be Valentine's Day to everyone else but around here, it's my babyboy's birthday!! Yep, that's right..........26 yrs ago today, I delivered Valentines Day treats to my 2 oldest boys classrooms and then went and delivered my third child!! Sweetest valentine I ever received~~

So tonight while most people at the restaurant we were at were celebrating V day, WE were celebrating the birth of my sweet boy!

I'd really be waving better if they didn't keep these hands all bundled up!!! They say I scratch my face if they're not.....hmph. Anyway, even tho I only got to see you for a very short time, I know you'll have fun on your sailboat. And when I'm bigger, maybe my cousin, Lilli, and I can be pirates with you!!! aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhh!!

Cap'n flew in from Mexico last week and arrived about 15 minutes after Austin was born....he even had the capt of the airplane doing his best to get him here in time! He flew back out today where Blew Bayou is waiting for him and where our other two sons are coming down for a big fishing trip!! I'm playing with Austin and loving me up some neck sugar!!! mmmmm-mmmm!!

Baby Austin is!!!
He is home now with mom, daddy and EmmyLou watching the Super Bowl with them! And I get to go back over there tomorrow to snuggle, kiss and love on him some more. And to do a lil cookin' and cleanin' so Mom can get her rest and heal. Cannot wait!!!

Dreamin'.....

Hmmmmmm......do you think he's dreamin' about his mama and daddy or is he wondering how that crazy couple will do in the parenting department??? Well, Austin.....I'm here to tell you that you are going to have the best parents EVER!!! Both of them act like it's old hat to handle a baby. Mama takes care of him like an old soul.......like she was born to do this. She makes it look like she's done it forever. And Dad? Like a pro!! Swaddles, changes, snuggles him with such ease. Makes this ol' mama so proud of her kids and the love they share.

But I have to tell ya..........I kinda balled like a baby when my first born son drove away from the hospital with his first born son. Wow. The Circle of Life once again!

Perfection!!

8 lbs. 6 oz. 19" long. this baby is a clone of his daddy.....I have pics of his daddy at birth that are the EXACT SAME as some that were taken today. I feel very blessed and proud of our children. Austin's mom did an awesome job..........how did I get so lucky to inherit her as my daughter??!!!
And yes!! He most definitely inherited the "mccormick eyebrows"!!! Papaw would be so proud!

Today will be baby Austin's BIRTH day!!!!!

Drove over to dallas last night........back at hospital at 6am..........it's noon now and we should be having a new bebe in a few hours!!!!
