ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.....yes! THE FOOD!! Because I'm a foodie, which that definition for me just means that I love to eat beautiful, tasty food AND take pictures of it, I have a few lil morsels to write about! One of the first things I think of when going to the beachy city is their guacamole and chips. And I can make a pretty good guac....but there's just something about the amount of fresh lime, the cilantro and the avocados, themselves, from there that just make it divine. And those burnt chips.....how I do love those thick slabs of corn deliciousness that have been overcooked to perfection! Upon arriving at our location, my first need was the guac and chips. Sorry this pic is a lil messy but I was too excited when it first came to me, untouched in all its glory, to take a pic...heheh...

Our first morning there, mah boyfriend and I walked into town for breakfast. We found a nice lil place further back from the main street of town and the food was y-u-m-m-y! Mine was a huge burrito filled with oh, so deliciouso stuff like the eggs, meats, many kinds of peppers all wrapped up in the most wonderful fresh tortilla that had been toasted on a griddle.

But the even better part was the sauces and pico to ladle over the top! And because I can never turn down the fresh fruit platters there.........I had that too!

One evening, my buddy found a glorious place for us to eat dinner. We walked and found it only to discover that it was the exact same place where my son and his bride had their wedding reception 6 yrs ago this coming Saturday! This made it not only a fun night with great food for me, but also a sentimental evening as well! They make THE best caesar salad from scratch, tableside, ever. OMG. That dressing? To die for.

Each morning, my sweet boyfriend, would bring me coffee and a freshly made pastry to have on the porch of our room!

This one will prolly gross some out but I absolutely adore whole, fried fish there. This one was enjoyed on the ocean side of Cozumel at a lil local restaurant called Chen Rio. It was Snapper. And it was muey bien........I also speak spanish now!!
One more and I'll quit....promise! One of our last nights there, our friends had this unbelievable combo......wish I'd ordered it. Crab, lobster, shrimp... It was some kinda good!
